Emily is a graduate of Cornell University and New York Law School, and started her legal career at the Office of the New York Attorney General, Real Estate Finance Bureau, where she reviewed and made preliminary determinations involving escrow deposit disputes in condominium purchase agreements. Emily was tasked with reviewing real estate contracts and condominium offering plans to determine if sponsors were in compliance with all statutory requirements, and advocated for purchasers to terminate contracts when applicable. Emily has also worked with the Bergen County Superior Court as court appointed special advocate for children in foster care where she interviewed and prepared extensive reports to assist in the court’s determination of a child’s best interest.
