Christina M. Malamut, Esq. is a Senior Associate at Sobel Han, LLP, whose practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate, landlord-tenant law, municipal law, and civil and commercial litigation. She represents property owners, landlords, tenants, condominium and homeowners’ associations, real estate professionals, businesses, and municipal entities throughout New Jersey.
Christina’s real estate practice includes residential and commercial transactions, lease disputes, nonpayment and holdover proceedings, ejectment actions, habitability and property maintenance claims, condominium and association matters, and other disputes involving the ownership, use, and management of real property. Her broader litigation practice includes breach of contract disputes, consumer fraud claims, insurance defense, and personal injury matters.
Christina also has significant municipal and governmental law experience through her work as Borough Attorney and Special Counsel. She advises governing bodies and municipal officials, drafts ordinances and resolutions, attends public meetings, and provides guidance on OPRA, OPMA, public contracting, municipal liability, and other issues affecting local government operations. Across her practice, Christina focuses on strong advocacy and practical, effective solutions tailored to her clients’ objectives.
Christina earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from New York Law School and is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. She was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2025 and 2026 and recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Real Estate for 2026 and 2027.
